Ketoconazole Rx 200mg is used to treat fungal and yeast infections. It has also been used to treat Cushing's disease as it limits the production of cortisone. Results of treatment may not be seen for 1 or 2 weeks and the duration of treatment may last up to several months. The usual dose for dogs and cats is 2.2-13mg/pound by mouth every 12 -24 hours depending on the disease. Do not use in pregnant or nursing animals. It can be given with food. A veterinarian's prescription is required for this product.
