Excenel Rx, 50 mg, 100 ml

Product Description: This is an antibiotic effective against gram negative and gram positive bacteria (Pasteurella, Haemophilus, some E. coli and Salmonella).
Indications for Use: Use against general bacterial infections, pneumonia (shipping fever), foot rot, uterine infections, and calf scours.
Dosage and Administration: Give 1-2 mL per 100 lbs. once a day, IM or SQ only. Shake the contents of bottle well before use.
Duration of Treatment: Administer at least 3 days consecutively. Treat at least 2 days beyond resolution of the infection. If there is no response after the third or fourth day of treatment, consider a different antibiotic. At this point, culture and sensitivity would be recommended if not previously performed.
Packaging: This product comes in 100 mL bottles.
Precautions and Side Effects: Excenel may cause pain and/or lumps at the injection site. Allergic reactions are a possibility. Never give Excenel to horses.
Storage and Shelf Life: This product does not need refrigeration. After opening the bottle, the remaining Excenel must be used within 7 days.
Milk Withholding: None, when used according to label.
Meat Withholding: 2 days
