Availability KetoChlor Shampoo is available as a prescription medication. How this medicine should be used Shake well before use. Wet the coat with warm water and apply sufficient shampoo to create a rich lather. Rinse and repeat. Allow to remain on hair for 5 to 10 minutes, and then rinse thoroughly with clean water. Can initially be used 2 or 3 times a week for 4 weeks, then reducing to once a week, or as directed by the veterinarian. What are the side effects There are no reported side effects. What special precautions are there Do not use this medication on animals allergic to either of its ingredients. This product is for external use on dogs and cats. Avoid contact with the eyes or mucous membranes. If undue skin irritation develops or increases, discontinue use and consult a veterinarian. Wash hands after use.
