Bacterin Ehrlichia Risticii Bacterin Contents: The bacterin contains inactivated, purified, concentrated, adjuvanted, tissue culture origin Ehrlichia Risticii. Contains gentamicin as a preservative. Indications: For vaccination of healthy horses 3 months of age or older as an aid in the prevention of Potomac Horse Fever (equine monocytic ehrlichiosis) caused by E. risticii. Dosage and Administration: For primary immunization aseptically inject 1 mL intramuscularly. Repeat the dose in 3 to 4 weeks. A 1 mL booster dose should be administered annually and at any time epidemic conditions exist or are reported and exposure is imminent. Precaution(s): Store at 35° to 45°F (2° to 7°C). Do not freeze. Shake well before using. Use entire contents when first opened. Caution(s): Local reactions may occur if this product is given subcutaneously. Inject deep in the muscle only. Anaphylactoid reactions may occur. For use in animals only. Antidote(s): Epinephrine. Warning(s): Do not vaccinate within 21 days before slaughter.
