Renurse — The only ready-to-use milk replacer that promotes healthy brain development.
Studies have shown that enhanced levels of DHA and EPA help brain and vision development in humans, as well as dogs. With that in mind, we developed Renurse — it has the highest level of DHA and EPA of any ready-to-use milk replacer on the market. The only way puppies can get higher levels of DHA and EPA is from their mother's milk. So for orphaned or rejected puppies, or those nursing but needing supplemental feeding, Renurse isn't just a recommended food source, is the next best thing to the real thing.
Description:
DHA (Docosahexaenoic Acid) and EPA (Eicosapentaenoic Acid) are naturally occurring Omega-3 fatty acids essential in the brain and central nervous system of young mammals.
DHA and EPA are building blocks of the brain and are critical elements in the development of vision and the central nervous system. The primary source of DHA and EPA is milk from the puppy's mother. Renurse keeps supplying these brain-building elements long after weaning.
Like humans, the primary source of brain-developing DHA and EPA is from mother's milk. It is also available in foods such as eggs, organ meat and certain fish. Renurse gets its natural DHA and EPA from easy-to-digest fish oils.
Essential fatty acids cannot be produced by the body and must be supplied through diet. The two key fatty acids found in Renurse are DHA and EPA.
When separated from their mother, use Renurse to insure their level of DHA and EPA are not compromised.
Dosage and Administration
It is extremely important to weigh puppies every day to ensure they are receiving adequate amounts of supplement. If a puppy loses weight after 48 hours, consult your veterinarian.
Renurse may be fed at the daily rate of at least two (2) tablespoons per four (4) ounces (1/4 lb). The daily feeding rate should be divided into equal portions for each feeding.
Puppies' needs will vary and this amount may have to be increased or decreased, depending on the individual. Larger puppies can be fed every 8 hours. Small or weak puppies may need to be fed every 3-4 hours.
Puppies should be allowed to consume as much formula as they want.
Orphaned Puppies: If possible, puppies should nurse from their mother for the first two days of their lives to receive nutrient rich colostrum. Mother's colostrum provides protection from numerous diseases and contains growth factors believed to stimulate protein synthesis, fat utilization, and cell growth.
Feed at a temperature that feels slightly warm on your wrist.
Your veterinarian should be consulted for advice about the care and feeding of puppies.
